Abstract – Lake Chapala Days – Acrylic on board. Painted while I lived next to Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico. My art studio was a spare bedroom. Storage totes stacked up made my art “table”. I’ll always remember the gauze curtains that floated on the breeze that came through the window. The daily rain showers. The huge scorpions (nightly sweeps of the house!) AVAILABLEBaja Leaf – Acrylic on Board – vintage frame painted to compliment the artwork. Painted in 2020 in Todos Santos, BCS, Mexico. I was living in a 1965 truck camper at the time. I painted outdoors under palm trees at a little folding table. I was frequently visited by two large lizards and a mourning dove with a bad foot. I picked up a leaf on one of my walks. It transitioned into these beautiful orange colors on its way from green to brown. I decided to paint it. Acrylic on driftwood – Sea Baby – baby turtle, painted in Mulege, BCS, Mexico.
