The light and carefree days
Are visited upon
frequently enough
But all too often,
But I’m up against it,
The wall
Looming over
The dark that hides the shadows
Always on the horizon line.
I’m up against it.
This day I live
Is a declaration
Of my existence
The inscrutable
Deep sea of divinity.
I fear not
I worry little
Though the weight is there
Up against it.
