FINALLY.  It appears that one of the eggs in the incubator has started to hatch.

I noticed it this afternoon when I was turning some of the “younger” eggs.  I heard peeping.  I stopped and listened;  I thought it might have been a bird singing outside, but no….it was in the incubator.  So I looked closer and sure enough one of the eggs had a small hole started in it.  I could see a bit of movement inside.  So cool!!!

I have read that it can take from 6-8 hours for chicks to bust free of their eggshells.  We will be keeping an eye on the little peeper and see if it is free by morning.

Hopefully, there will be others following suit soon.

If everything goes well…pictures will be coming soon!
