List of things I no longer consume/participate in…..(OR have minimized – noted.)

Updated as I have time & think of things.

  • Cosmetics.
  • Sodas (minimized – maybe I drink a few sodas during a year…less than 10)
  • Oscars, Music Awards, etc. All entertainer award shows.
  • TV & Radio.
  • Professional or college sports.
  • Corporate Restaurant Chains
  • Magazines that are filled with advertisements.
  • Facebook
  • Diet, “light”, fat-free, reduced-calorie, no sugar, etc… food products.
  • Frozen dinners, snacks, etc. of any sort.
  • Microwaves
  • Electric Coffee Makers
  • I’ve begun avoiding buying new clothes with prominent labels or that “say” things….like printed t-shirts, etc.
  • Women’s high-heeled shoes….any “fashion” shoe not offering a good level of comfort/function.
  • Uncomfortable clothing, in general.
  • Curling irons.
  • Perfumes.
  • Catalogs
  • Cereals
  • Bedding made from synthetic materials.
  • Fluorinated products, such as toothpaste.

  • Non-stick cookware.
  • Antiperspirant.
  • Hair “styling products” – creams, sprays, gels, etc.
  • A multitude of specialized cleaning products (shower cleaner, oven cleaner, kitchen cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, floor cleaner, etc) I use vinegar, water, baking soda, & some type of soap that can do everything soap-wise & bleach.

  • Pets. I love animals. I do. But I see a lot of problems with the human/animal relationship in the world. Also, I appreciate how my life is more simple without needing to take care of animals. I want animals in the world…but I prefer the idea of animals living more freely and independent of people.
